These photographs are official press photos made of Bankhead family members during the 1930s and 1940s. Most of them were made in Washington, D.C. Family members included in the collection are John Hollis Bankhead, Jr., William B. Bankhead, Florence McGuire Bankhead (William's second wife), Walter H. Bankhead, Tallulah Bankhead and Eugenia Bankhead. Most photographs are stills of family members made by associated press photographers. The majority of the photographs of Tallulah are publicity stills from movies in which she had a starring role.
